L&D initiatives
GGS runs various L&D initiatives year-on-year to upskill its employees. Some of the training interventions are:
A leadership training program for academic mid-management roles to enhance leadership skills and strategic thinking. Power-packed modules along with a mentoring program to support participants’ learning journey during and after the program.
A six-month long immersive training intervention for business/function heads to equip them with critical leadership competencies. Udaan focuses on improving leadership effectiveness and preparing our leaders for bigger roles and challenges.
LEAP is an acronym that stands for Learn, Evolve, Achieve, Perform. It is a post-graduate program in leadership and management. It aims to build the next set of leaders in the organization and prepare them for higher responsibility roles. This extensive program includes boot camps, capstone projects, in-house internship and mentoring, leadership workshops, CEO masterclasses besides immersive assignments and practical exposure. Participants receive certificates from UPES upon successful completion of the program. LEAP has been specially curated to ensure relevance, critical thinking, innovation, people leadership and technology.
Shakti means the female principle of power & energy. SHAKTI is a program designed especially for our women employees to empower them in the various walks of their life. This is a program meant to help women, influence others, and become a successful leader in future, by developing various adaptive & technical skills in them. SHAKTI aims to prepare women in all stages of their career by developing relevant competencies in them and equip them with all the ammunition they will require to step into leadership roles.
Pragati means progress. This training intervention is a leadership transformational journey that identifies & develops the high potential leaders who can drive change. The 5 ‘Is’ of Pragati are Ignite, Improve, Influence, Immerse and Inspire. The modules are designed to develop attitude and skills towards mastering self, empowering others, excelling in organizational roles, and leading change.
Utkarsh means advancement. Utkarsh is a program for senior leadership which takes them on a transformative journey leading to individual and organizational growth. It focuses on developing a high value creation team that can help the organization in driving change through purpose and excellence.
Shikhar means top of the mountain peak. Shikhar is an intervention for high potential first time managers to enable them to deepen their understanding of their leadership role and equip them with transformational leadership skills. It focuses on self-leadership and developing people, emotional intelligence, business acumen and participatory leadership.
Udaan means take off, soar high. It is a training intervention for high potential first time managers in academic roles to help them transition from an individual contributor to a people manager. Multiple modules cover management essentials, change management, collaborating to excel, purposeful conversations and more. Udaan has been curated to include individual development plans, sustained learning support and mentorship.
eURJA means Energy, Life! It is a skill development initiative to bring a wide bouquet of programs in short capsule sessions. With the philosophy of providing training interventions to more and more employees, eURJA is delivered online to cater to employees at all locations.
Saarthi means the charioteer, driver, the one who shows the way. Through this initiative, our Faculty Development Center brings all the faculty development initiatives under one umbrella and have a holistic & transformative approach to teaching in the new reality.
